Sopets.
An idle-style companion game project based and started by NTU (Nanyang Technological University) students.

​The game aims to provide companionship with the mini dragon-like creatures called 'Sopets' (Short for Social Pets) or chums, each with their own unique characters and personality.
​In-Game Icons
​Used for different materials and inventories used throughout the game.
​The icons were done by me and Chi, a teammate from the UI team. I was responsible for illustrating the apple, ball, hoop, rock, and wooden log icons, while Chi was tasked to illustrate the handkerchief and meat icons.
​
​The icons are initially used as a sort of interaction objects between the users and the Sopets, e.g an apple and meat are available for feeding, while the bouncy ball and hula hoops were able to be used to invite the Sopets to play with their users.
​Character Illustrations
Used for introductions of each Sopets. I was responsible for illustrating the splash arts of Ice Cream chum, Valentine chum, and Camo chum.

​The final pieces put together by the design team. Other splash ilustrations were done by Angeline.
Sopet Stickers
Used for online community interactions on the official Sopets Discord server. Illustrations are done by Angeline, and fonts are handpicked by me.
The font used is Cholo Rhita by Hanzel Design. The font is displayed at all upper caps, as the font was hard to be read on a sticker if it was used in mixed caps (both upper and lower caps), as shown on Row 1, Column 1 in the sample below.
The team and I have agreed that it resonated well with the Sopet's childish yet cheery attitude, as the font resembles a handwriting. The font also has a simplistic design, contrasting well with the Sopets intricate design.
